The BFFs bond over their love of hip LA steak house Dakota

Drew Barymore shares everything with her pal Cameron Diaz —even her favorite restaurant! On August 2, the actresses — joined by several other friends and Drew’s boyfriend, Strokes drummer Fabrizio Moretti. 26— hit LA Hotspot Dakota in Hollywood’s historic Roosevelt Hotel for one of their frequent chat-and-chew outings. So what mouthwatering dished did they order? Cam. 34, dug into crab cakes and part of chateaubriand for two, while Drew opted for the halibut with sautéed spinach on the side.

Drew, 31, has become such a regular at Dakota that she has even grown chummy with the staff.  “She tips well, she’ down-to-earth and she’s friendly with a bunch of the servers because she comes in all the time,” says an insider, “The chef always comes out to say hi.”

 

 

Hollywood hangout

Plenty of other celebs are also brcaking bread at the swanky American streak house, Thanks to inviting brown leather banquettes and dim (read:flattering) lighting — plus to die for dishes like cauliflower gratin served in a miniature cast-iron pot and Caesar salad prepared tableside — Dakota has lured the likes of Paris Hilton, Josh Dumamel, and Eva Longoria since opening its doors in 2005.

But Drew and Cameron are the ones who leave the most lasting impressions. Says another insider, “There’s always a lot of laughter coming from that table!”
