Dakota integrates the historic architecture of the famed hotel
with those of a stylish, sophisticated modern steakhouse.
Upon entering from a grand staircase or via the hotel lobby, guests are met
by a palatte of warm chocolate browns, ambient lighting and gorgeous
leather and suede banquettes. Spearheaded by acclaimed designer, Dodd Mitchell,
the sensual lighting and unconventional detailing is perfectly set for an evening
that could take itself anywhere.
With towering high ceilings rich in architecture beckoning to Hollywood’s
golden era, Dakota provides the perfect balance between old and new.
The bar, located within the main dining room provides for a sexy and
intimate setting, and the restaurant is visually and literally linked
to the newbustling lobby bar for the Roosevelt Hotel.
Since opening its door, Dakota, has quickly become a craving for the classic
foodie and the Hollywood hipster. Dakota recently expanded its dining experience
to the bridge, a semi-private seating area that overlooks Tropicana Bar and
the sparkling David Hockney pool.
This area comes equipped with lounge seating and a community table and is booked
upon request only and can accommodate small private dinners for up to forty guests.
Dakota has also expanded its service to the Tropicana Bar so that guests can
dine al fresco in the midst of the Hollywood scene.
Teak tables will be lined amidst the swaying palm trees and fire pit at the foot
of Tropicana Bar. To top this off, Dakota has added some shared plates options
that continue to redefine his modern interpretation of the classic steakhouse.
